Preface: We believe that a one day commitment (especially for those working during the week) is the best practice. The first EHH clean-up crews will go out on Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th. Those that decide to do 2 days will be accommodated.
Instructions for Volunteering
- Pick the day you wish to volunteer for—make sure you can be in Asan by 8 am (KTX is very convenient—CheonanAsan KTX Station), but express bus works as well also. Buses will depart Soonchunhyang University via the East Gate (후문) at 8 a.m.
- Then email the name(s), email address(es) and telephone number(s) of the volunteer(s) and the selected date to Thom Walls at
thomwalls2002@yahoo.ca
010-5848-0305. - Please advise Thom if you want to do a 2 day stint accommodations will need to be arranged.
- Once Thom confirms with you, please be prepared with warm clothing to work in and a change of clothing for after your work shift. Also bring a plastic bag in which to dispose of your work clothes (they are unlikely to be salvageable).
- If you plan to work a two day shift bring the usual toiletries and some things to entertain yourself for the overnight. It would not hurt to pack some high carb snacks for the day.
Our website will be constantly updated with information, so please check it regularly.
Thank you for caring.
I’d like to help– coming from Jeonju. I can drive/pick up volunteers, but if it’s easier/better I can also meet at the train station/bus station.
I can do 2 days or one, depending on the need.

Sonia – contact Thom who is co-ordinating the teams – happy to have you join.
The need is not going away anytime soon. We have come to believe that 1 day is the most practical and safe – coming back another time might work best.
However there are going to be lots of non-clean-up opportunities to be there and involved as well. More on that early next week.

I’d like to join there on Sunday. I”m coming from Gwangju, so I need to know whether I’m signed up for this or not. I texted Thom last night, but haven’t got any reply. So please let me know a.s.a.p. because I’m planning to take KTX to Asan station which will arrive there at 7:15am.
Thanks.

I’m sure there will be people in Jeonju who may be willing to even arrange a group trip. The last post I see is pretty old. Is there still anything going on?

Do they still need volunteers? Thinking of heading down there from Seoul during the Lunar New year.
